Student Portraits - It's Time to Order
A flyer went home in your students backpack last week with instructions for online ordering. Portraits are a major PTA Fundraiser. Lakeside earns 50% on all Portrait orders. Upload your family photos, order your Holiday Greeting cards and photo gifts and Lakeside earns 25%.

Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair profits
go directly back into the Lakeside
Library and for special request
from each Teacher for the classrooms.

Harvest Food Bank
Barrels will be at Lakeside
in the Commons Area and Community
Center.
Do you have anything
in your pantry to donate? Most needed items are: meals
in a can (stew, chili, soup),
tuna/canned meat, peanut butter,
canned foods with pop-top lids,
low sugar cereals, 100% fruit
juices in single serving boxes,
canned fruit packed in its
own juice, and low salt canned
vegetables. Please do not donate
items packaged in glass or
bulk quantities of rice, flour,
or sugar.
Fall Family Fun Night
Friday 10/3, is the Fall Family
Night Pasta Dinner and AstroWizard
Show.
Preorder your dinner
and stay for the FREE 3-D power
point presentation, “A Magical Tour of the Universe,” it will forever change the way your children (and you) see the sky! Using the most recent, startling discoveries and dramatic pictures of NASA space probes and the Hubble Space Telescope, the “AstroWizard” will
guide you through our newly
discovered Universe. In their
minds, your students will navigate
among the planets and through
the stars to the edge of the
universe! Followed by outdoor
science experiments and observing.
Appropriate for all ages. Flyer
will be attached to your Lakeside
Letter. Please consider bringing
with you a food donation for
2nd Harvest.
Trick or Trunk

Four
volunteers needed from 7
to 9PM :
One timekeeper who can use
a stopwatch to time the speakers--and
the 1-minute answers to the
questions from the audience
Two people to sort the questions
to avoid duplications--and
assure a variety of types of
questions
Two people to pass out 3X5
index cards and pencils on
which people can write their
questions.
Hospitality servers to prepare
coffee service and clean- up.

3:00 P.M. in the Teacher's
Lounge. (No meeting scheduled
in December.) Babysitting
is provided.
The Parent Teacher
Association is a
very active organization
and is composed of parents
and teachers. It goal is
to provide services, events
and projects that enrich
the education of the students
at Lakeside. The PTA supports
many school projects such
as our Back to School Picnic,
a Friday Hot Lunch Program,
School Assemblies, Book Fairs,
Picture Day, the Thanksgiving
Food Drive, winter gift drive,
and Spirit Day, to mention
a few.
