Lakeside School Site Council
The School Site Council (SSC) sets long-range educational goals for the school, conducts the parent survey and assists the Lakeside staff and Board of Trustees in implementing these goals. The SSC is comprised of three staff members and three parent or parent/community members. The SSC has specific responsibility for the Local Educational Plan, which is mandated by the State Department of Education. The SSC collects data through a parent survey, data received from the district testing program, staff surveys, staff members and parents. The SSC is
composed of three parents and/or
community members (elected
by parents), one of which acts
as Site Council chair, two
teacher members, one representing
the primary grades and one
representing the upper grades
and the superintendent/principal.
